    Re: Thoughts on the Titans

i hate to agree with Timmay, but I do think VY is better than people give him credit for. Until now with the emergence of Kenny Britt, they had maybe the worst WR corp in the NFL. But VY was still able to make plays and put points on the board.

He should not be expected to be a 300 yards a game passer, but he has def. picked up more of the offense and is now somewhat able to make the right read and not throw as many picks.

VY is not a top 10 QB, or even a top 15, but he is a winner and has that mojo.
that mojo makes up so much for me, a QB that can will a team to win means so much for a team

The WR comments are horse****. Collins did more than VY has with the same receivers. It's strange when the "emergence of Kenny Britt" happened too. Right when Collins comes in and VY goes out. Send that same group of WR's to Indy and 2 of them are over 1000 yards. I'm not expecting him to be a 300 yard a game passer, but don't you think he should be doing better than 124 a game? I'm not really saying he's garbage, I'm saying he's sorrier than **** and doesn't work enough to be good. He'd rather be dancing with other guys shirtless in gay bars and riding around acting like a nut pretending he's going to kill himself.

"but he has def. picked up more of the offense and is now somewhat able to make the right read and not throw as many picks."

I'd freaking hope he's picked up some of the offense by now and be somewhat able to make the right read. He's been in the league for 5 years now. He has 2 more INT's than TD passes, 24 more fumbles than TD runs, even though he's not a top 15 qb he still needs to have the dedication to be decent. My problem is more that than anything. It's an effort problem I have with him.

    the WR's are:
    Justin Gage
    Nate Washington
    LaVell Hawkins
    and Britt
and Britt also had TD passes in 3 straight weeks with VY at QB. He is as responsible for Britt's growth as Collins or the Philly DB's haha
the WR's have been somewhat productive, but anybody put in a WR1 spot on an NFL team will get yards and catches.

aside from St. Louis who has lost their two best WR's, whose WR corp in teh NFL is worse?

he has been playing five years, but not five solid years. he missed almost two whole years. add that with the bench time he has only been a full time starter for less than 3 years.

like i said, he is not a top 15 QB, but he has made improvements slowly. his reads have gotten better, his grasp of the offense has gotten better, etc.. i think everyone knew it would take serious time before VY was an NFL QB. I know he has been a work ethic question, but I dunno I truly believe he realizes that he has to work hard and focus to be a great QB.

Like I said, it all goes back to the mojo. VY has the mojo. his teams win sometimes in spite of him but because of him.

VY is far far from being a reliable starting QB for a super bowl contender, but if he continues his improvement (something you cannot deny, even if the time frame is much longer than expected) he can reach the top 15 QB level.

VY will never be Peyton Manning or Brees, but he can be McNabb

even the lowly Niners or the Raiders have better WR corps than Tennessee.

    Re: Thoughts on the Titans

I'm not saying their WR corp is great. He's sure as hell not doing anything for any of them to even make them look decent though. Brit can be a #1, Gage can be a better than average #2, and Washington can be a #3 for sure. It's not like they're lining up small TE's to play WR. They've got guy that can run and catch. They're not the best or most talented but their production and chances are nowhere near where they need to be. Carolina (now without Smith), Oakland, Buffalo, TB, and Seattle's could all make an argument are worse. The Bears are about even with them as Brit and Knox are similiar.

Carolina's with Smith is better, I believe he is playing this week. and with him I believe they are better, because he is truly great.
Buffalo's are better IMO but its very close, with Steve Johnson who is playing great and Lee Evans.
TB's are very close as well with the emergence of Mike Williams, Benn,
and Seattle has TJ Housh and Mike Williams, I think they were better too.

but since the emergence of Britt as a true WR1, they are not the worst, just very close haha. They are a bottom-10 unit still tho.

but its also worth mentioning that timmay is right, VY is 3rd in the NFL in passer rating.
